I Know How You Feel
I know what it feels like to end your day feeling like a complete failure- having invested all your energy into programs, plans, movements, and revival meetings that leave you with the haunting question: Do I have what it takes?
I’ve had those moments, too- sprawled out on my bed in tears with no money, dissolved friendships, and a failing ministry. Too often, feelings of self-pity and depression mingled together with apologetic prayers, clouded my eyes from seeing the simplicity of the life of Jesus.
But Life CAN BE Different.
The brokenness of the world around us reminds us that what Jesus said is true. The thief has a plan to steal, kill and destroy everyday - BUT Jesus came to give us an OVERFLOW LIFE
We cannot effectively follow Jesus into seeing the world around us transformed until we grasp His perspective on life and ministry.
Studying the life of Jesus has been the biggest stumbling block to my understanding of how discipleship should happen. But choosing to rearrange my life in a way that reflects His has liberated me and many others from the pain of failed programs. Over 2,000 years later, we can develop authentic relationships and produce long-lasting fruit because Jesus shared His life with 12 ordinary men.
